Frequently Asked Questions

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

When will I receive my photos?

A typical family, engagement, or portrait session will be returned within thirty days and weddings take 6 weeks or less. I try to get them back to you as soon as possible while making sure I give time to each and every image needs. If you are under a tight deadline, please let me know. There may be an additional rush charge depending on the requested turnaround.

How many images do you include?

For portrait sessions, you will receive 3-5 images; if you need additional, please coordinate with me before the shoot. Family and engagement sessions average on 30 images. For events, I don’t like to give a cutoff number because I don’t believe in withholding any images from you to get you to pay more. These are your memories, I promise to capture them fully and give you more than enough images to remember this time in your lives.

Will you send me the unedited photos?

No, because I believe that editing is half the magic that goes into images, and without this huge step the images are only halfway done. For events, I promise to never leave any photos out that you’ll want/need, and if you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back through my images. I won’t let you miss out on your memories! My husband often says he can't believe how much time is put into editing the images—that's it's not as simple as snap, then upload as most people assume. For example, a one-hour session averages over 15 hours of editing.

Can you photoshop me?

If you’re self-conscious about something, please let me know as I’ll be sure to be extra aware of that while I’m posing you and editing the photos. Otherwise, I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there like a bruise, scrapes, acne, etc.

Do you help in the planning process?

Absolutely! Please let me know what you need help with, if you need recommendations for timelines and locations, and if there’s anything I can do to make the process easier for you.

What if there's bad weather?

I encourage embracing whatever weather comes our way, as it’s beautiful and unique in photos. If it is harsh enough that it would make for a miserable time or that it might ruin my gear, we'll find a time in the near future to reschedule.
